The Driven Man

The Driven Man, LLC was started by an enthusiast
to serve enthusiasts.
I came home from the hospital as a newborn baby in
a Jaguar MkII, and have been a Jaguar enthusiast ever since!
Over the years I have driven scores of different makes of cars
spanning nearly a century of automobile production, and have
come to the realization that I simply like cars! I can enjoy
driving and being seen in a dilapidated 1972 BMW 3.0CS, my 6
liter 6 speed XJS or my friend’s 400HP twin turbo Porsche. Just
don’t put me in something without character!
I spent over a decade in the healthcare industry
before finally deciding I had enough of jobs I did not enjoy. In
early 2005 I started The Driven Man with
confidence in the philosophy that a "driven man" offering great
products to enthusiastic customers and backing it all up with a
steadfast commitment to quality service - would have to be
successful!
Several
years ago Keisler Engineering introduced their custom-engineered
5 speed manual transmission conversion kit for the Jaguar XJS
based on the modern Tremec TKO gearbox. Tremec is well known for
their high quality transmissions as used in the Aston Martin
Vanquish, Viper, Corvette, TVR and many others. Over the years
the Keisler Perfect Fit line of manual transmission
conversion packages has grown to include nearly every type of
American muscle car, and this has propelled them to the
point where they are now the world’s largest distributor of
Tremec brand transmissions and the world’s largest producer of
custom engineered manual transmission kits.
In 2005,
Keisler Engineering announced that to better serve the needs of
their ever-growing muscle car transmission customer base they
were turning over the sales and marketing of their Jaguar
products to The Driven Man, and in the Spring of 2007 they made
the final move away from the Jaguar market all together. The
Driven Man, LLC now produces, markets and supports our own
version of the Keisler designed 5 speed and 6 speed manual
gearbox conversions for the XJS as well as a new line of
gearboxes for many other Jaguar models including the XK series
and E Types.
