The engine in a standard XKR/XJR saloon develops 370-375 BHP. Paramount have increased this output to a target 450 BHP by incorporation of a replacement exhaust system, including new high flow catalysts, increased supercharger speed, improved supercharger intercooling, and a revised air induction and filtration system. The car can be fitted with a conversion, which enables the standard car's 155 mph electronically imposed speed limit to be exceeded by as much as 25 mph. (Final power output will depend upon the sound level of the exhaust specified).

The XKR/ XJR 450 suspension enables the car to ride 30 mms lower than the standard XKR/XJR, the suspension incorporates revised springs and can also include increased front and rear track.

The steering system includes switchable steering feel, which offers standard Jaguar weight for parking and a more suitable weight for A and B Road driving. The switch is conveniently located on the center console.

The cars are fitted with AP Racing Brakes, incorporating 6 pot front calipers and 4 pot rear calipers with braided hosing, special brake fluid and a choice of pad grade. These are track developed and the system is both road and track capable (depending on the pad grade specified). The system is highly competent and a variant is used on the Jaguar XJR TOCA pace car.

External changes include all of the front air intakes fitted with double crimped chromium plated brass mesh (similar to Bentley specification). This treatment is carried over to air vents incorporated in the front bumper section - to give a more aggressive look and to improve cooling to the supercharger. A matching mesh air outlet is incorporated in the lower rear fairing to differentiate this car from a standard Jaguar XJR.

You can of course leave your car on its standard wheels and make no changes to its bodywork, in order to keep the car entirely suitable for business use - whilst knowing that you are driving one of the ultimate Q cars.

However, you will have even better handling, without any adverse effect on ride quality, if you specify a set of Paramount's optional 2 piece Opera 19" alloys fitted with 255/40 ZR 19 Bridgestone SO2 Pole Position tires (front and rear).

If you wish, you can add the optional full bodywork conversion, which comprises a lower front fairing, side sponsons and additional side sections on the rear valance. This equipment gives the car better stability at higher speeds and gives a clearer indication that the car is not standard.
